Posted onSpirograph Eye Candy – Desmos Graph
Posted onI know I’ve blogged before (yes I did just use that as a verb) about Desmos, this great online calculator. But, the more I use it the more I am convinced that it is one of the greatest tools out there for both classroom demonstrations and outright mathematical investigations. I was testing last Friday and decided I wanted to create a Desmos graph that generated a cycloid (the path a fixed point on a circle… Read more »
TI Statistics Programs Updated for Common Core Algebra II
Posted onO.k. So, I’ve updated the statistics programs for the TI-83/84 that are needed to do the simulations for Unit #13 (Statistics) in the new Common Core Algebra II. Posted onCC Algebra I Reviews for Units 1 through 4 – by Christina Ruscio
Posted onChristina Ruscio from Hilton High School was kind enough to share review assignments she made for Units 1 through 4. She provided them in both Word and PDF format (she likes the fonts better via the pdf). These are all great resources to use as we get closer to review time and want lots of problems to pull from. Thank you Christina for sharing. We hope you will share more of these as the year… Read more »
Arlington Algebra Project – Whole Book

On January 1st we officially switched from one web hosting service to another and all of our old websites went dead. I hadn’t even thought about this because when we use the AAP, we just access it from our Common Drive. Still, some schools continue to use this resource for pre-algebra classes… Read more »
Common Core Algebra II – The First Six Units
Posted onSo, I’ve been doing a super quick initial round of editing on Common Core Algebra II. I’ve compiled the first six units into unit pdf files. For those schools who are considering using our curriculum for the first year of implementation (in New York State at least), I submit these for review. Of course, the HUGE caveat is that the lessons will likely be filled with typographical, grammatical and mathematical errors. Most of those will… Read more »
Trigonometry Resources by Jenn Sauer
Posted onJenn Sauer has given us some great Trigonometry resources, especially for the current Algebra 2 and Trigonometry course in New York State. She contributed a wonderful packet of lessons and a great YouTube channel that links to videos on the lessons (hey, I’ve heard of that before). Here’s the packet: Unit 6a Trigonometry Packet 2014 And here’s a link to her YouTube channel: Jenn Sauer Trigonometry
